Athletic Fund/Development Office Assistant

Student Equipment Manager
Applications are being accepted for immediate employment of student equipment managers for all 22 intercollegiate sports teams. Under general supervision of the Head Equipment Coordinator and Head Coach of specific sport, student manager will assist with the issuing, fitting, repair and maintenance of equipment and apparel. Student Video Assistant

ISP Sports Intern
Responsible for assisting in the implementation and fulfillment of
UCLA corporate partnership contracts; responsible for assisting
with game day operations as it relates to pre-game hospitality,
sponsor tabling, product promotion, product distribution, and for
on-field/on-court contests and promotions for various Varsity UCLA
athletic teams.
1. Assist in coordinating, tracking, and updating the UCLA corporate partner inventory management spreadsheet; as well as contract fulfillment as directed.
2. Assist with coordination and collection of advertising copy by defined deadlines. This may include radio, signage, print, and/or internet advertising components.
3. Assists with game day operations:
a. Assist with set-up / take-down for pre-game hospitality, promotions, samplings, etc. at various UCLA athletic events.
b. Assist with on-field / on-court game promotions and/or contests which may include supervision of contestants, sponsor representatives, etc.
c. Assist and conduct pre-game on-field / on-court sponsor tours. Will be responsible for communicating historical information regarding UCLA and the venue in which the tour is being given; will also be responsible for effectively communicating this information to groups of up to 14 people.
4. Assists the General Manager, as directed, with all property promotion and customer service events related to UCLA.
5. Honors ISP obligations as specified in contract with UCLA, clients and vendors.
6. Works to foster positive employee relations and teamwork by:
a. following and supporting ISP policies and procedures,
b. communicating effectively with all operating units,
c. complying with all federal, state, and local regulations, laws, and ordinances in discharging duties, and
d. assisting in the internal training and development programs of ISP.

Academic Coordinator for Football and Special Programs
UCLA Intercollegiate Athletics invites applications for our Academic Coordinator for Football and Special Projects position. The Academic Coordinator for Football and Special Programs reports directly to the Assistant Athletic Director of Academic Services. This incumbent, in conjunction with the Director of Student-Athlete Counseling, is responsible for the coordination of academic support services for the high profile UCLA football program. The Academic Coordinator for Football and Special Programs will be responsible for the development, administration and evaluation of the academic support programs provided to the 120 student-athletes on the high-profile, nationally recognized football team. These programs will emphasize early identification of academic concerns, foster academic accountability, and monitor the academic and personal transition of the student-athletes to a competitive university environment. The Academic Coordinator for Football and Special Programs will also collaborate with multiple support service providers on campus, and within athletics, to develop and implement policies and procedures that provide enriched student-athlete academic support. Additionally, the Academic Coordinator for Football and Special Programs will be responsible for working jointly with relevant constituent groups and individuals in the coordinator of services for football student-athletes with learning disabilities and/or remedial needs. Each academic year, the Academic Coordinator for Football and Special Programs will facilitate mentor and tutor assignments for the football program. A caseload will be determined and the Academic Coordinator for Football and Special Programs will serve as the lead person for these assigned student-athletes. Additionally, the Academic Coordinator for Football and Special Programs will fulfill several administrative roles, such as evaluate program needs and effectiveness as it relates to the football team, coordinate the New Football Student-Athlete Orientation, co-facilitate the Community of Learners Program, and serve as the lead academic personnel in the recruitment of prospective football-student-athletes.
Qualifications include: a Bachelor's degree is required however a Master's degree in education or counseling is preferred; Minimum of three years of experience in an academic support program for student-athletes; Knowledge and expertise in effective learning strategies, motivational techniques, and study skills; Outstanding listening, analytical, and problem-solving skills in work with academics staff and student-athletes; Working knowledge of intercollegiate athletics and student-athlete demands; The ability to exercise sound judgment and handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and according to FERPA guidelines; The ability to effectively counsel and advise students with professional, academic, and/or personal questions and concerns; and the ability to interact diplomatically with individuals of various social, cultural, economic, and educational backgrounds. Working knowledge of UCLA Intercollegiate, UCLA College, Pacific 10 Conference rules and regulations is strongly preferred and the ability to work non-traditional hours is a must.

Director of Camps & Clinics
UCLA Intercollegiate Athletics invites applications for our Director of Camps & Clinics position. The Director of Camps & Clinics reports directly to the Associate Athletic Director - Facilities, Sports & Operations. This incumbent is responsible for all such activities sponsored by UCLA Athletics. Working with coaches, administrative staff, Conference Services, Cultural & Recreational Affairs, Facilities and outside vendors to organize, oversee and execute all aspects of sport camps and clinics throughout the year (currently more than 90, including 70 during the summer). Specific job responsibilities include: The overall preparation, management and reconciliation of all camp/clinic activities; The planning and implementation of a marketing and promotional strategy for each camp/clinic; Coordinate housing and meals with Conference Services for all campers and counselors staying in dorms; Coordinate, staff and manage the office in order to process camp/clinic registrations/payments and to provide thorough customer service to parents both before and during the camps. Issue periodic reports to coaches and supervisor prior to each camp/clinic; Manage scheduled facilities during camp/clinic session; Interview, hire, train and supervise camp office personnel; Oversee the hiring, processing and maintenance of all camp counselors and athletic trainers; Oversee the timely processing of payroll for all camp personnel; and Manage all financial income and expense accounts for each camp and clinic, with revenue exceeding $2.6 million.
