LOS ANGELES - Freshman Kevin Love registered his second double-double in as many games, scoring a team-high 23 points and pulling down 10 rebounds, to lead No. 2 UCLA past Chico State, 93-55, in an exhibition game Monday evening at Pauley Pavilion.

UCLA sophomore Russell Westbrook finished with 22 points and senior Lorenzo Mata-Real added 13 points and a team-leading 13 rebounds in the victory. Westbrook nailed nine of 12 shots, sinking two treys and collecting four assists.

Chico State senior Mike Martin led the Wildcats with 14 points.

UCLA led the entire contest, scoring the game's first seven points. After Chico State cut the Bruins' margin to 13-6 with 13:28 remaining in the first half, UCLA used a 20-5 run to gain a 33-11 advantage.

UCLA owned a 57-25 halftime lead, as Love led the Bruins with 17 points and six rebounds in the first half. Westbrook scored 12 points in the first half, nailing five of six shots.

The Bruins outrebounded Chico State, 46-25.

UCLA opens its regular season against Portland State on Friday, Nov. 9 in Pauley Pavilion. Game time is 7:30 p.m.
